Young Pups Obedience and Socialisation

Service Description

Our 8-session Young Pups course is carefully designed to develop your puppy into a calm, confident dog and well-mannered family companion, with equal emphasis on socialisation and obedience. Ideal for fully vaccinated puppies up to 6 months old, this course builds on early learning foundations. If your puppy is not yet fully vaccinated, please see our Puppy Socialisation course (Friday lunchtimes), or our Tweens course for older pups. Created and delivered by our expert behaviourist and dog training team, the Young Pups course covers essential age-appropriate skills, including Lead Walking, Recall, Whistle Recall, “Leave It,” Sit Waits, Lie Downs, Bed/Place Commands, and Item Drop. You’ll also learn proven techniques to reduce jumping, and to manage and phase out mouthing or play biting. As the key socialisation window closes between 14–16 weeks, this course continues vital exposure to dogs and people, teaching impulse control and polite social manners. We’ll also help you prevent common issues such as food guarding and jealousy. Throughout the course, you'll receive personalised guidance from our experienced team, plus weekly written tips and video clips to reinforce your training and support your practice between sessions—or help catch up if you miss a class.
