Top Dogs on the Train - Out & About

Service Description

Our Top Dogs Out & About course takes everything you and your dog have learned and puts it into practice in real-world settings across Dorridge, Knowle, Barston, and Solihull. Open to dogs aged 10 months and older, with no upper age limit. This course is designed for owners who have done a previous training with us, such as Young Pups, Tweenies, or our 121 and/or behaviour sessions. A solid foundation of obedience is essential, as we build on existing skills in more stimulating and unpredictable environments. These six sessions held in a different location each week are designed to build confidence, enhance obedience, and prepare your dog for everyday experiences—while having plenty of fun along the way. Your dog will be introduced to novel and controlled social experiences, such as riding on a train, walking near skateboard parks, and safely meeting livestock like alpacas and sheep in a privately owned field. These encounters are carefully designed to desensitise and build reliability around real-life distractions, including future walks through livestock fields. Alongside advanced obedience and socialisation, we also include our popular Class and a Glass sessions—where we stop off at dog-friendly cafés or pubs. These allow dogs to practise settling in public spaces, while owners relax and connect with their fellow handlers, owners and trainers.
